NCE provided full 3D rebar detailing using Tekla Structures for prestressed concrete box girder bridges at the highway E16 from Sandvika towards Hønefoss, in Norway. Constructed using Movable Scaffolding System (MSS), the bridges consists of two parallel bridges, one for each traffic direction, with span length of 35-53 m, 5-span continuous with 900 m radius of curvature and the overall length of 207 and 223 m.
The project was delivered entirely using BIM, eliminating traditional 2D drawings. This approach ensured precise modeling, efficient coordination, and high-quality construction for these complex curved highway bridges.
