Valryggen bridge is a prestressed concrete box girder bridge built using incremental launching method. The bridge has 7-span continuous with span length 46.5+5x59.2+44.5 = 387 m, cross fall 8% and 700m radius of horizontal curvature. It is a part of E6 Svenningelv - Lien, Helgeland project in Grane municipality, Norway.
NCE is responsible for rebar detailing in 3D using Tekla Structure for bridge superstructure. Bridge geometry modelling was created by AAJT, while substructure rebar detailing was responsible by AAJ. The project was delivered entirely using BIM without traditional 2D drawings. Every structural element, including all reinforcement, is modelled in detail, ensuring precision across all disciplines. Model verification and clash detection using Solibri sofware enabled enhanced coordination, improved efficiency and overall quality of the project.
