Motorway No. 6 from Bang Pa-In to Nakhon Ratchasima is a new 6 lanes motorway designed to run between the central and north-eastern parts of Thailand.
NCE was given the responsibility of design of all structures along the second section of the project, including the part along Lam Takong dam.
The 103 km long section of the motorway includes a 13 km long elevated viaduct over Highway No.1 with typical span length 40 m, balanced cantilever bridges with typical span length 60 m, cast-in-situ prestressed box girder overpasses with spans 40 and 50 m for minor road, box girder U-turns, I-girder bridges, slab type minor bridges and box culverts.
